Principles
The Äsmo Quiver is constantly growing and evolving around the same principle that has influenced and inspired us from the very beginning.
Planing hulls and the pursuit of speed and control are fundamental concepts infused into every shape we create. Because there are no bindings, the board itself must provide confidence and connection to the terrain. The pursuit of lift, speed, and control is therefore central to every Äsmo design, making the binding-less experience as intuitive, accessible, and rewarding as possible.
A large surface area generates lift, while our unique 3-dimensional bottom contours provide the control needed to harness that speed. Available in both Twin and Quad Channel constructions, every Äsmo Powsurfer is designed to create confidence, control, and flow where bindings would traditionally do the work.
Our wide range of outlines and sizes ensures that every rider can find their perfect match. Each shape offers its own unique character and feel, creating a quiver that caters to different rider sizes, riding styles, terrain, and snow conditions.
Äsmo reflects our deep respect for snowboard, skateboard, and especially surfboard design. We draw inspiration from the ideas that came before us, add our own perspective, and continually refine our shapes in pursuit of the most intuitive and natural binding-less riding experience possible.
Constructions
Äsmo has expanded its range of powsurfers with the introduction of a second construction platform. Alongside our original TWIN Channel, the new QUAD Channel offers a different interpretation of how a powsurfer can interact with snow. Neither construction is designed to replace the other. Instead, each creates its own distinct riding experience while sharing the same design philosophy.
The TWIN Channel is the foundation of Äsmo's approach to powsurfing. Its clean channel layout delivers a playful, intuitive ride that encourages flowing turns, effortless drifting and creative line choices. By naturally blending edge hold with controlled release, the TWIN platform feels lively, forgiving and highly versatile across a wide range of terrain and snow conditions.
The QUAD Channel builds upon this concept by introducing two additional inner channels within the centre section of the board. This refined 3D bottom shape creates additional guidance and support without compromising the loose, surf-inspired character that defines every Äsmo board. The extended channel layout improves directional stability, generates more drive through turns and provides a more composed feeling when carrying speed or riding steeper terrain.
The difference between both platforms lies in the way they interact with the snow. The TWIN encourages freedom of movement, smooth transitions and a playful riding style, while the QUAD offers increased precision, stronger tracking and a more connected feel throughout the turn. Both retain the effortless float and natural glide that are at the core of every Äsmo powsurfer—the choice comes down to the riding experience you are looking for.

The Channels
The 3D shape of our boards creates a riding experience unlike anything else in powsurfing.
At the core is our Channel concept—originally inspired by surfboard design and reimagined for binding-less riding in snow. Instead of fins, the channels are integrated into the running zone of the board, positioned between your feet. Together with the flat center surface, they generate lift in powder while allowing the board to engage and release from edge to edge with control and precision.
This creates a balance of lift, flow, and directional control that lets you draw your line naturally across changing terrain. It keeps the board stable when you need it, yet responsive enough to adapt instantly to snow conditions, speed, and terrain features.
Within this approach, we developed two different expressions of the same idea: Twin and Quad channels.

The Twin Channel is built around a flat, playful running surface supported by outside channels and edges. This creates a loose, surf-like feel with very intuitive handling and fast turn initiation.
It allows the board to roll easily from side to side, making it highly responsive in tighter terrain and on features like natural hits, transitions, or man-made terrain. The combination of flat center and outside edge engagement gives you a very direct, natural turning feel.
The Twin prefers flow, creativity, and adaptability. It feels at home in softer snow, playful terrain, and situations where freedom of movement matters as much as direction. It is also the more forgiving and natural choice for technical features like jibbing or riding variable terrain where quick adjustments are key.

The Quad Channel evolved over years of R&D, refining the 3D bottom contour to increase stability, drive, and control—especially at higher speeds and in firmer, more demanding snow conditions.
The design creates a more directional and anchored feel in the snow. It increases edge engagement and allows for a higher maximum tilt angle, giving the board strong support when laying into turns or navigating committed lines.
In powder, it adds precision and confidence at speed. On slopes and traverses, it provides noticeable control and stability, allowing you to stay composed even in uneven or variable terrain. The feeling is more locked-in and directional, while still maintaining flow through transitions.
Both approaches are built on the same foundation. Neither is strictly freestyle or freeride—both are freeride in essence, just with different personalities.
The Twin leans toward looseness, play, and adaptability. The Quad leans toward precision, stability, and directional control. Most importantly, both are fully capable across all terrain—it’s less about what you ride, and more about how you want the board to feel under your feet.
That’s why there is no “better” option—only the one that matches your riding style, snow conditions, and personal connection to the board.
One Design Philosophy
Neither platform is intended to replace the other.
The TWIN and QUAD Platforms represent two interpretations of the same design philosophy—both built around Äsmo's unique 3D Bottom Contour.
TWIN offers an open, playful and flowing riding experience. QUAD provides greater precision, directional guidance and stability. Both deliver the effortless float, intuitive control and surf-inspired feeling that define every Äsmo powsurfer.
The choice is not between better or worse. It is simply a choice between two different ways of experiencing powder.
The Pad
The Äsmo Powsurfer features a pad made from EVA Foam, which is super light. It has a kick on the tail and nose end for a solid stance and good-sized knobs for perfect traction.
Furthermore, the Äsmo Powsurfer will be delivered with a stainless-steel Leash Plug, which is screwed into the back insert to hook up the Leash.
