As the name suggests, the OG Line is shaped and crafted in our shaping bay in our hometown in the Zillertal Alps, Austria, Äsmo has been building handmade boards for over 20 years. —evolving from early, raw hand-shaped experiments into refined, high-performance tools that combine craftsmanship, experience, and purpose-built technology. The Original Line remains the backbone and the soul of the Äsmo quiver.

Each board is handcrafted in Zillertal using carefully selected, high-end materials and our latest design knowledge. We use a 3D top veneer for its increased rigidity while maintaining a lightweight feel. The sandwich construction—similar in principle to a snowboard, yet more complex due to our 3-dimensional contours—requires a multi-day building process where every component is individually selected and assembled by hand. A CNC process supports precision in shaping, ensuring flawless flow from design to finished board.

Among the materials we use are premium wood veneers such as American walnut, chosen not only for performance but also for their unique character and visual identity. Every element is chosen with intention to ensure maximum quality and consistency.

Over time, much of our focus shifted toward research and development, particularly the evolution of our Quad Channel technology. During this period, the Original Line became less present—not because it lost importance, but because development demanded full attention and countless iterations in the shaping process.

Each board can now be custom-ordered directly from us. Riders are invited to get in touch and begin a personal build process—choosing shapes, materials, and details to create a board tailored to their riding style, terrain, and body. Much like a hand-shaped surfboard, every Äsmo board becomes a one-of-a-kind piece, built individually and without compromise.

This is not a mass-production line. Each board is built in limited numbers, with full attention to detail, intention, and rider-specific design. The result is a highly personal object—meant for those who value progression, craftsmanship, and a deeper connection to the mountain.
