Two Platforms, One Philosiphy
Every Äsmo powsurfer is built around a purpose-designed 3D Bottom Contour. Rather than relying solely on the outline or flex of the board, we shape the surface that interacts with the snow. Every transition, radius and channel is designed to influence how the board glides, floats and responds beneath your feet.
This three-dimensional approach is at the core of every Äsmo board. It creates natural lift, controlled guidance and a unique riding sensation that cannot be achieved with a conventional flat base.
Within this philosophy, we have developed two distinct platforms: TWIN and QUAD. Both share the same design principles but offer different ways of interacting with the terrain.
find your feel
The Channel is at the core of every Äsmo board. A 3D bottom concept inspired by surfboards and shaped for binding-less riding. It creates lift, control, and direction—without taking away the natural flow of the board.
Both Twin and Quad come from the same idea. They just feel different under your feet.
Twin Channel
Loose, playful, and surf-like.
A flat, responsive base with outside channel support. Easy to turn, easy to adapt, and very intuitive in soft or variable snow.
Best when the terrain is playful and you want freedom in how you ride.
Quad Channel
Stable, precise, and more directional. More edge grip, more control, more confidence at speed. It feels locked in when the terrain gets faster, firmer, or more committed.
Best when you want stability and clean direction.
Not sure?
Most riders can ride both. It’s not about better or worse—it’s about feel.
Twin is freedom. Quad is control.
Twin Platform
The TWIN Platform is the original Äsmo concept and the foundation of our design philosophy. Its balanced 3D Bottom Contour combines two outer channels with smooth transitions to create an intuitive connection between rider and snow.
The result is a playful, surf-inspired ride that encourages flowing turns, effortless drifting and creative line choices. The board naturally alternates between releasing and engaging with the snow, making it feel lively, forgiving and highly versatile across changing terrain and snow conditions.
TWIN is about freedom—allowing the rider to move with the mountain rather than against it.
Quad Platform
The QUAD Platform expands this concept by evolving the 3D Bottom Contour with two additional inner channels. These refined guiding surfaces increase the interaction between the board and the snow, creating a different riding character without changing the core philosophy.
The additional channels improve directional guidance, generate more drive through turns and provide increased stability while carrying speed. Extending the channel geometry further towards the tail enhances this effect, allowing the board to track naturally while remaining loose enough to drift whenever the rider shifts weight forward.
By shifting weight back, the channels engage more dely, producing stronger acceleration and a more connected feeling throughout the turn. Shifting weight forward reduces their influence, allowing the board to release smoothly into controlled drifts.
The result is a ride that feels precise, composed and confident, particularly in steeper terrain and at higher speeds.
One Design Philosophy
Neither platform is intended to replace the other.
The TWIN and QUAD Platforms represent two interpretations of the same design philosophy—both built around Äsmo's unique 3D Bottom Contour.
TWIN offers an open, playful and flowing riding experience. QUAD provides greater precision, directional guidance and stability. Both deliver the effortless float, intuitive control and surf-inspired feeling that define every Äsmo powsurfer.
The choice is not between better or worse. It is simply a choice between two different ways of experiencing powder.
